Designing With Production in Mind
Early design decisions can have a significant impact later on, including lead times, component availability, assembly processes, and production costs. That’s why involving both engineering and production teams right from the start of the design process is crucial.
GSPK Design can achieve this effectively as all our facilities are based on-site at our facility in Knaresborough. Our engineers work on the top floor, with production on the ground floor, making communication fast and straightforward.
Once we’ve completed your design and developed your prototypes, we aim to build long-lasting relationships with our customers, helping you scale up to full production, right here on site.


Our Approach to DFM
We build DFM into every stage of our Define, Design, Develop, Deliver process, keeping manufacturability in mind from the very beginning. Therefore, during the design phase, we can:
– Select components that are available and suitable for assembly
– Optimise layouts to avoid common faults
– Plan for testing and inspection to catch issues early
– Design to meet compliance requirements (including our ATEX, ISO 9001, and ISO 13485 standards).
